Nanna's favourite photos from photo competition for seafarers

During her two years as office assistant at SEA HEALTH & WELFARE, our student, Nanna, has been responsible for receiving photos for the photo competition and corresponding with you seafarers. A task that she has enjoyed very much, she says.
Now that Nanna has completed her training and is leaving SHW, we have asked her to present her favorite photos.

Click on the pictures to see them in a larger version.

The photos from 1998-2004 have a timeles and old look that in a way gives life to the viewers about how it was back then.

I like this photo because it has a timeless and old look and beautiful colors.

The man on the mast is enjoying the weather and the beautiful view. It's life-affirming to look at and makes you happy - and a little envious; I'd like to try that.

The three men in the machine show a snapshot of a working environment. "Teamwork makes the dream work". I like it because it seems like they love their job, and they are all in it together.

The colors in the sky with the golden ship behind the sunset steal the attention. It's so beautiful, calm, and clean.

At være med oppe på broen og navigere er bare imponerende at se – jeg har sådan respekt for alle søfarende, der arbejder på skibene. Det hele er så teknisk og bare supersejt.

Another one of those older-looking images of wildness. It's a reminder to respect the power and unpredictability of the sea.

The beautiful colors harmonize perfectly and create a sense of calm and comfort, making it a pleasure to look at. I love this image.

It is a very authentic photo of a polar bear family - the curiosity of the little cub is unmistakable and mutual.

This penguin, captured right at the lens, adds a sweet and unique detail to the image. It's so cute.

The DFDS ship has a nostalgic charm and slightly old-fashioned look, giving it a unique character in a calm sea.

The penguins gathered in a flock radiate togetherness. They are simply adorable. Look at how they are traveling together.

This image makes me smile so much. The trinity they form and how they express themselves on white differently with the sun in the background.

I used this photo for my professional exam in 2023 because it conveys a great atmosphere, the joy of working, the unity on the ship, the fun, the peace, the wildness, and, not least, the friendships.

With its distinctive aesthetic and the island in the background, the ship creates a fantastic, beautiful photo.

I almost feel like I can hear the ship calling, "Wait for me," as the smoke whips, and you imagine it is hurrying as fast as possible. The material is almost personified.

Again, a photo from the bridge, where the unique view is what we get. It's an older look; there are no screens to be seen, so it's like traveling back in time.

Beautiful, colorful, and versatile image of Greenland. A drone image gives us a wholeness we don't often see.

Well, that's my absolute favorite image. "Painted with silence." The calmness you get from looking at the picture is unique. The eyes are relaxed, and the blue color surrounding the oil rig, which stands in a dark shape, is gorgeous. I'm such a fan of this image.

This image makes me think of  a conquest expedition. The ships are sailing the same way in a row, wearing the same colors. It's a straightforward photo, and that's really something.
