In the 1920s, before becoming a famous silent-film star and icon of her generation, fifteen-year-old Louise Brooks leaves Wichita, Kansas to study at a prestigious New York dance school. To her annoyance, she is accompanied by an adult chaperone, a complicated woman on a mission. Ultimately, the five weeks they spend together will transform their lives forever.
