When a Staten Island kindergarten teacher discovers that she has a gifted five-year-old student in her class, she becomes fascinated and obsessed with the child prodigy. Hoping to save him from a banal life, she risks her career, her family and her freedom to nurture his genius, and possibly tap into her own.
