When 13-year-old Jake’s grandfather dies, his family moves back into its old Brooklyn home. There, Jake befriends Tony, whose single Chilean mother runs the shop downstairs, but a strain is put on their friendship when Jake’s parent’s want to significantly raise the rent on Tony’s mother’s shop. The boys try to stay loyal to each other despite their parent’s financial quarrels.
